International Conference on Intellectual Property in Israel

The Israeli National Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Law at the Tel-Aviv University, is happy to announce the forthcoming international conference on Intellectual Property, to be held in Tel-Aviv, Israel between March 19 and 21, 2013.
The steering committee of the conference is being finalized these days and will include representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Patent Authority, leading hi-tech, bio-tech, IT and other companies, academic institutions, IP Associations, leading IP/law firms both from Israel and abroad, etc.
The proposed conference is being convened in response to an obvious need for a major international gathering on Intellectual Property matters here in Israel, a conference that will address not only academic questions, but also practical issues, relevant to practitioners and end-users in the field.
It is proposed that the conference will hold several parallel sessions, touching on various IP- related themes and divided according to the audience of interest, for example, sessions specifically intended for new practitioners, for experienced practitioners, for industry members, for Examiners and for the general public. It will encompass the Patent, Trademark, Copyright and Design Law, and will combine lectures, practical workshops and discussion groups (“round-tables”), as well a rich social and cultural program. The conference will host top-notch international and local invitees, who will no doubt stir interest among the local practitioners, industry, academia and government. Randall Rader, the Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has already confirmed his participation as a plenary lecturer.
