Astra Zeneca had filed similar lawsuits against Natco Pharmaceuticals and Micro Labs and the Honorable Court injuncted both these companies from manufacturing or marketing the drug.

In the current case, Pfizer developed Lyrica (Pregabalin) for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and epilepsy, but the patent for this expired in 2013.
